Jim got his start in the embedded software world in 1988 as a lead software engineer working on the Boeing P-3 Update IV Project. His use of the original VRTX kernel on this project lead him to Silicon Valley and a job as an Applications Engineer at Ready Systems. Jim joined Wind River Systems in early 1991 where he spent the next 10 years helping the company grow from $8 Million in revenue to over $400 Million. His responsibilities included: National Application Engineering Manager, Account Manager, Silicon Valley District Sales Manager, Director of the NW Region, Director of WW Strategic Partner Sales, and Director of Business Development and Corporate Strategy-Wind River Ventures. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Math and Computer Science from the University of Puget Sound in beautiful Tacoma, WA. Jim likes to ski, run marathons and participate in triathlons when he is not at work.
