Embedded Solution Partners’ Secure Gateway solution is a high-performance, lean and flexible implementation of networking and security technologies for OEMs and ODMs targeting the SMB or SOHO VPN gateway markets.
Based on high-quality, certified cryptography and digital certificate frameworks with several advanced technology features and capabilities, the Secure Gateway enables secure communication channels to be created for remote access or site-to-site use. Hybrid (Site-to-Site + Road Warrior) setups are also supported.
Besides network security, the platform allows for end-to-end security by including Denial of Service-resistant features, a stateful inspection firewall, NAT and a variety of authentication mechanisms. To enable flexible use over a variety of WAN links, several variations of PPP and Ethernet links are supported, including PPPoE and Multi-Link aggregation for PPP and Ethernet WAN links. A broad range of wireless links are supported as well, including 3G and WiFi.
With technologies designed exclusively for embedded use, the Secure Gateway offers a robust and configurable implementation that is an ideal fit for cost-sensitive devices requiring optimized flash and dynamic memory usage. Further, embedded features such as CPU-independence, OS portability and leverage of specialized hardware acceleration resources enable a feature-rich, yet modular implementation for constrained environments.
